When England batted, it looked like a tough wicket, but Rohit and Jaiswal made it difficult for the critics. What a cricketer Yashshwi Jaiswal is! Bharat along with Jadeja played a decisive innings of 41 runs. Ashwin got out for just 1 run off 11 balls after a poor run. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja played one of the best innings of the match and became the third Indian batsman to be run out in the 1980s.

Jadeja and Akshar put on a formidable 78-run partnership that took them to 400. Joe Root took two consecutive wickets (Jadeja and Bumrah) and fell right behind. Aksar Patel's 44 off 100 balls was the last wicket to fall in India's innings. In their first innings, India scored a brilliant 436 runs.

First, England led the game until Rohit Sharma called the game. India's spin trio of Ashwin, Jadeja and Aksar destroyed England's innings. The England team was bowled out for 246 runs and India now has a lead of 190 runs.
