The 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, which will be the 13th edition of the Men's Cricket World Cup, is scheduled to be held from October 2023 to November 26, 2023. The event was originally scheduled to take place from February 9 to March 26, 2023, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the dates were moved to October and November 2023.

The event could be the first time that India will host the tournament on its own after hosting the previous tournaments in 1987 (with Pakistan), 1996 (with West Pakistan and Ceylon), and 2011 (with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh).

ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 is the biggest cricket tournament in the world which is fifty matches and is played every four years. BCCI has started preparations to make this world cup a successful event in India.

Australia is the most successful team with five-time winners. Defending champions England, who also won the 2022 T20 World Cup, are the strongest contenders for the 2023 World Cup. Host India has the advantage of playing matches at home.

Format

The 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup is to consist of 10 teams, just like in 2019. The format will be the same as the 1992 and 2019 Cricket World Cup where each team plays against the other teams in a round-robin (random) format. selected team) modes. Finally, four teams will compete in the semi-finals and the top two teams will advance to the finals.

Qualified Teams for the 2023 Cricket World Cup:

India, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, Pakistan, West Indies, and New Zealand have qualified and entered the 2023 World Cup.

The remaining teams Sri Lanka, Ireland, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and the Netherlands qualify for the 2023 Cricket World Cup qualifiers, from which two teams will compete for the 2023 World Cup.
