Complete and reliable list of injured players in ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2022

Full ICC T20 World Cup 2022 Injured Players List: With just nine days to go until the start of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, the excitement for the showpiece event is heating up. The eighth edition of the T20 World Cup will begin on October 16 between Sri Lanka and Namibia.

As the tournament approaches, a number of injury problems emerge. South Africa's Dwayne Pretoria has become the latest injured person to be ruled out of the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup.

Pretorius featured notably in the three-match T20I series against India and also picked up three wickets in the final T20I in Indore. However, the all-rounder has been ruled out of the upcoming T20 World Cup due to a fractured left thumb.

Team India also lost two of their crucial players ahead of the T20 World Cup. While Prime Minister all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been out with a knee injury, Jasprit Bumrah has recently re-injured his back, which has also kept him out of the World Cup.

Babar Azam-led Pakistan is also facing some issues regarding the fitness of their pacer. Pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has suffered a right knee ligament injury and is yet to fully recover. Although included in Pakistan's T20 World Cup squad, Shaheen Shah is still completing his rehabilitation course in London.

Also, Naseem Shah recently tested positive for Covid and was also diagnosed with pneumonia after participating in the Pakistan vs England 1st T20I. Although he is said to have recovered, his participation in the World Cup is still under the scanner.

Sri Lanka also has two injury problems in their T20 World Cup squad. Dushman Chamber and Lahiru Kumar are still recovering from injuries. While the former pacer picked up an ankle injury, the other picked up a hamstring strain. The availability of both of the above-mentioned pacemakers depends on their physical fitness.

Kiwi all-rounder Daryl Mitchell recently broke his right arm while training in the nets. He is then ruled out of the ongoing tri-series between Pakistan, New Zealand, and Bangladesh. Mitchell's inclusion in New Zealand's T20 World Cup squad also depends on his fitness.
